With unprecedented access to resources, inspiration and creative control, the current youth generation of photographers and filmmakers are seemingly raising the bar. We live in an unprecedented period of access to research and learning accelerating human advancement through technology (digital media, mobile computers, smartphones, advanced cloud and GPS connecting software, global social media sharing, etc.). How is this affecting the creative minds and potential of the world’s youth? I’ve heard compelling arguments to both the advantages and disadvantages of this sudden resource boom with the collective creative power of the people on center stage like never before.
Is overstimulation accelerating or curbing the creative growth and potential of our global youth? Is sharing what prompts people to create? Or is it this self-aggrandizing quest for social infamy what is now catalyzing the majority of our artists to action? What do you think – tell us in the comments below?
